THIS PROGRAM IS FOR NEW PLAYERS INVITED TO JOIN A TRAVEL TEAM FOR THE SPRING 2023 SEASON.
PARENTS: Please be aware that this is travel soccer program and requires commitment from both players and families. To support their development and in fairness to teammates, players are expected to attend all practices and games.
Below is some basic information about the spring 2023 program. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
REGISTRATION FEE: The Registration Fee for the Spring 2023 season is $465, payable as follows:
$65 non-refundable deposit due upon registration (by January 8, 2023);
$200 due by due by February 15, 2023; and
$200 due by March 15, 2023.
Uniforms are additional. Alternate payment arrangements are available if needed. Email email@example.com.
UNIFORMS: Uniform orders (approx. $130) will be made online in January. Instructions will be provided to registered players.
PLAYER CARDING: All travel soccer players must be carded through a US Soccer Affiliate. Most families will do this online. You will need a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport as proof of age. Instructions will be provided to registered players.
SPRING 2023: The spring season consists of approximately 12 weeks of twice-weekly practices run by a professional coach, and a season (8-10 games) of league play. We are planning for practices to start the week of March 13. The practice schedule will be finalized in February. All teams play on Sundays in the Sundays spring, generally between 9am and 6pm, but makeup games may be scheduled on Saturdays or (rarely) during the week.
WINTER FOOTSKILLS: WOUFC will host an optional winter footskills program in January and February. The program will be held indoors (on a wood floor), using size 1 balls (same as the MTL program, for those who have been attending). Further information will be forthcoming.
PARENT MANAGER: Each new team will need a parent manager. The parent manager handles team communication, some scheduling and other administrative matters. He/she does not need to attend practices but ideally would be at most or all games. The time commitment is approx. 1-2 hours per week, plus the game. It's a great way to get involved with your child's team and help make it a great season for all! Please email us if you are able to volunteer.
SIBLING DISCOUNT: $25 discount for each additional child registered in the WO United Travel Soccer. After registering a second child, please email our registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HEALTH & SAFETY: WOUFC will follow the CDC, State and Township guidelines in place to protect the health and safety of our players, coaches and families.
PARENTS: WE NEED YOU! With the exception of our professional coaching staff, WOUFC is run entirely by volunteers. Volunteers handle budgeting and finances, player carding, team registration, team management, attendance at regular league meetings, fields, and basically everything other than coaching. If you would like to get involved, please reach out and/or check the Volunteer box as you complete your player's registration.
