Welcome to the 40th season of the Mountain Top League Basketball program, proudly co-sponsored by the West Orange Recreation Department. As one of the most exciting youth sports programs in West Orange, MTL Basketball is organized and managed by a dedicated team of volunteer trustees. Our success is built on the support of parent coaches who have been committed to mentoring our young athletes for years. The season will officially start the week of Dec 1st. Once the season starts you will receive an introductory email from your coach with the practice schedule.
Q: I haven't heard anything since I registered my child. Did I miss a communication?
A: No you haven't missed anything. Registration is still open and teams have not been decided yet. Once the registration is closed and we start the season your coach will reach out to you.
Q: What days are practices?
A: Practices are generally between Monday-Thursday occurring 1-3 times a week. All of our coaches are volunteers so we can't mandate when or how many times they practice. If you have a conflict with one of the practice times/day, communicate with your coach as most are flexible.
Q: When are games?
A: The game schedule will be released mid December. For elementary boys/girls, games will be on Sundays. For middle school boys/girls, games will be during the week between Monday-Thursday.
Q: Is it possible to still register?
A: Yes! Registration is still open until November 4th. Once closed, no new participants will be allowed.
Q: Where are the practices?
A: Practices will be held in one of the elementary or middle schools in West Orange
Q: How do I sign up to be a volunteer coach?
A: When registering your child, there will be an option to select if you would like to coach. Also, please fill out this coaches contact form.
