West Orange United FC TOPSoccer in Partnership with the West Orange Recreation Department's FOOTSTEPS program (Fall 2019)

West Orange United FC and The West Orange Recreation Department's Footsteps program will be kicking-off our 12th season of TOPSoccer in the Fall of 2019! “The Outreach Program for Soccer” is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl with a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to join with soccer clubs across our nation to enable thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.

Our program is designed to accommodate players with disabilities such as down syndrome, autism spectrum, ADHD and cerebral palsy between the ages of 5 and 18. Each player will be provided 1:1 instruction and support from his or her TOPSoccer "buddy." Roster space is limited, so please register your player as soon as possible. Sessions will be held on Saturdays from 5-6 pm at the Liberty Middle School gym. The program will run for seven consecutive Saturdays, beginning on Saturday, September 21, 2019 and ending on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The fee for the program is $50, and includes a uniform. Should you have any questions you may contact our Director of Coaching and Player Development, Lou Mignone, at newyorkcosmos@verizon.net. Upon completion of registration you will receive an email with documents that will need to be completed before the start of the program.

The West Orange United FC TOPSoccer staff of coaches and “buddies” look forward to designing a safe, fun and rewarding soccer experience for all players participating this coming spring season. We look forward to working together to make this program an absolute success, and a great time for the players!
