West Orange United FC Fall 2017 - United 2004 Boys (BARCELONA) - By Invitation Only


Welcome to West Orange United! We are looking forward to a great 2017-18 season!

Three steps must be completed BY JULY 7, 2017 to complete your child’s registration and secure her spot on the team If we do not hear from you by July 7, we will assume that you are no longer interested in participating in the program. Until registration is complete, all teams and team assignments are tentative. Changes may be necessary based on the actual number of players accepting positions and registering.


To reserve your child’s spot on a travel team for next year, please click the registration link below and follow the registration process through to completion. You will be required to make a non-refundable $200 payment toward the $395 fees due for the fall 2017 season. In the event WOUFC is unable to form a team the $200 payment will be refunded. An additional payment of $395 will be due for the spring 2018 season. Please ensure that only one payment amount is selected, unless you intend to pay in full for the Fall season at this time. When you register you will have the opportunity to request a jersey number for your child. Please select a first choice and two alternates. Numbers will be assigned by the club based on request, subject to availability. Upon completion, you will receive an email confirmation including the uniform ordering instructions and paperwork requirements described below. If you do not receive a confirmation, please return to the site to complete your registration.

A final payment of $195 toward the fall portion of the travel soccer fees will be due by August 12, 2017. Payments toward the $395 fee due for the spring season will be due as follows: $200 by December 15, 2017, and $195 by February 17, 2018. All payments must be made by the date indicated above. Players with past due balances as of the start of the fall or spring seasons will not be permitted to practice or play until full payment is received. ALL PLAYERS MUST PURCHASE WOUFC NEW NIKE GAME UNIFORMS AND PRACTICE SHIRT (game uniform includes home and away jerseys, shorts and socks; practice uniform is gray logo T-shirt, same shorts and socks as game uniform). The required items are indicated in red on the order site. For your convenience we recommend that you purchase two shorts, socks and practice T’s. Other optional items (backpacks, hoodies, training pants, etc.) may also be purchased. All orders must be submitted online. Items will be delivered to players at the field during the first week of practice. ALL PLAYERS: Please email a recent photo (headshot) of your child, along with their name and team, to woufcregistrar@gmail.com. Photo should be saved under the player's name. This photo will be used for your child’s 2017-2018 player pass. Additional paperwork may be needed, we will email if needed.

ALL NEW PLAYERS: All new players must also return the following to Moustapha Diop, Registrar, at woufcregistrar@gmail.com and/or 28 Harvard Terrace, West Orange (mail or leave in box located on front porch). Email is preferred, but we will need a hard copy of the US Club form with original signature before the first game.

HELPFUL INFO. FOR 2017-2018:

We expect that regular fall practices will start the week of Monday, August 28. The practice schedule will be finalized in August. All teams will practice two nights per week, either Mon./Wed. or Tue./Thur., at West Orange High School. Details for a third practice night that will focus solely on game skills are currently being formulated. Specific information about the skills practice along with the day, time, and additional cost (if any) are still to be determined.

All teams will participate in the Essex Fall Tune-Up (EFT) Tournament the weekend of September 8-10. Games are played on fields throughout West Orange and Livingston. Game schedules will be posted the week prior to the tournament.

Regular league play will begin after the EFT Tournament. All girls teams will play Sundays. Some boys teams play Saturdays and some play Sundays. Make-up games may be scheduled either day. We will confirm game days for boys teams by the end of July, when all league applications are complete, but if you have scheduling concerns please contact us. Game schedules will be released by the leagues in late August/early September.

Most teams will complete their fall season before Thanksgiving. In past years WOUFC has offered an optional winter futsal program to travel players, at an additional cost. The program runs from early January through the start of the spring travel season. We expect to offer the futsal program again in 2018.

Spring practices will begin approximately March 12, 2018, weather permitting. Occasionally practice schedules change from fall to spring.

Spring league play will begin in late March or early April, depending on the league. Most teams complete their season by early-mid June.

Some teams elect to participate in a local tournament over Memorial Day weekend.
