Mountain Top League - 2014 Scholarship Recipients

Alex Goldman

An accomplished soccer goalkeeper, Alex wants to be an engineer and will attend Syracuse University in the Fall. A National Honor Society member, he volunteers with Special Olympics, Relay for Life and the JDRF Diabetes Walk, and tutors at St Cloud. with Alex played all of MTL Sports except basketball, but he credits soccer (then Travel soccer) for giving him a sense of responsibility toward his teammates, the ability to work well with others and the need to keep a healthy lifestyle, as well as critical time-management skills. After he outgrew MTL activities as a player, Alex continued to be involved with youth sports by refereeing.

Daniella Kaiser

Daniella aims to graduate in the field of Athletic training, and hopes to work with Olympians to "help them become the best athlete they can".  Daniella has played in-house soccer from Kindergarten to 7th grade and her dad Brett was one of Mountain Top's valued coaches, emphasizing team spirit and fun. An Honor Roll student, Daniella is also an accomplished musician and a Team USA synchronized figure skater, competing at the highest level.

Christopher Hanley

Christopher Hanley defines himself as the epitome of a Student-Athlete, balancing his academic fulfillments with his commitment on the WOHS Lacrosse, Football and Hockey Teams, while volunteering in several organizations and being a TAP and High School journalist. As a Three-Time Letterman, he served as Captain of the Lacrosse and Hockey teams. Not surprisingly, Chris played all three sports at MTL and he gave back to our programs by helping coach the new MTL Hockey clinics, along with some of his teammates and coach. His goal is to continue coaching as a father, and emulate the great example our MTL Volunteer-dads (and moms) have shown thoughout the years.
